Seriously. That right there is pretty much all you need to know about me. If it weren’t for the vast amount of online resources available to me, who knows where I would be now?
You see, my college didn’t have a graphic design program. My introduction to the wonderful world of design happened when I took an elective arts class during my sophomore year at the George Washington University where I was majoring in fine arts and art history. Digital Imaging Class… you changed my world.
I had always considered myself an artist but it wasn’t until that class that I knew what kind of artist I wanted to be. But like I said, my school didn’t have a graphic arts program. And that’s where the internet comes in.
I started reading as many blogs as possible. I spent hours watching video tutorials, taking code challenges, and taking online courses. Graphic design, especially designing for the web, had simultaneously become both a hobby and a career.
Since then, I’ve worked with a number of non-profit organizations, helping to develop their brand in both print and digital media.
